Why some games are complained about less than others
I will go into each game and assess them on why I complain or don't about them.
TF2
I can get back into the fight, a lot of players to chill and have fun with on the server with trying out wacky builds even if they don't work, I can find my own niche playstyle.
I met a lot of toxic people sure but enough people were on the server where the good people cancelled it out.
Rainbow Six Siege
I complain about a lot; why?
Nerf my favorite operators instead of buff the underpowered ones.
Take away toys/ gadgets from ops instead of spicing up the game.
New bugs caused by "fixes"
I died, a lot.
Smash Ultimate
I can fight CPUs, go offline for fun, have a good old time by myself, etc. I can take a break from online.
I have a stressed out/ annoying time dealing with online.
Rocket League
It feels horrible to lose and to be on a roll of losing a lot.
Street Fighter V
I get salty winning or losing because of a knowledge gap and not because I did something wrong, the wall of complexity that knowing more or just fighting someone under my skill level and not somewhere towards my skill level is a little depressing because it's a one sided stomp one way or another.
I can go into training mode to destress/ see what I could do better, a supportive community that doesn't down vote me/ dog on me but instead gives useful info and advice.
Overwatch 2
I had teammates who would be sweaty tryhards, mostly neutral to negative experience dealing with teammates while in TF2 I had more players to play with and were less likely to experience a negative experience with them.
With five people to a team I was more likely to run into toxic teammates unlike TF2 and had more a negative time where I couldn't be casual/ just have fun where failing there meant letting my team down and the pressure was put on.
League of Legends
Toxic teammates, people were unhelpful, spamming the calling me over, having it where I had teammates who would tell me to uninstall, kept dying but the more chill teammates were okay with that as we were still winning until we don't then suddenly it changes or the teammates stay chill.
Only people on Reddit for the game were helpful. The fact so many times were close calls to getting the last hit in only to deal with an invincible move/ attack.
With League of Legends there was no chill, constant sweaty tryhards where if you're not trying to be the best of the best and going off meta you will have teammates call you out. In said game people being overly toxic/ overly focused on winning with the fun being wiped from the game.
A good game with bad players.
The game however did have a good recommended player system that made sure to pair me with players who were more on my level.
COD II
I had fun experimenting with different builds, large servers where I got a kill here and there. The weapon leveling system is addictive.
Fortnite
I hate this game because it's RNG loot system/ long and short gameplay loop I can see as a game designer just being addictive and not actually fun, focusing more on creating a feedback loop that makes sure players don't want to stop playing with myself not finding it fun as I fall somewhere in the middle.
MTG
When I'm on a similar power level as my allies; I don't complain but when I am being dominated with no response and unable to play anything, yeah it's boring/ sucks when the power level difference is so huge.
I still had fun building my deck.
Elsword
I suck at the game and sure I wasn't that powerful when playing but I had a fun time none of the less with getting up there in levels until I hit a wall and the economic for the game hit but even then the game was still fun and had fun even if I was the worse player on the server at any time.
Had fun customizing my build.
Runescape
PvP areas where players killed me, took all my hard earn loot but here is the thing; I didn't even mind and I still don't mind now because I mostly played a pray build/ had fun customizing my playstyle to fit my niche of being a priest warrior type build.
Artifact
I broke mentally after a 100 losses with the meta decks being found out ASAP with players playing the same decks over, over, over and over with little to no variety with being blocked out of play with any changes I did with the custom deck being meaningless.
However; I did have fun deck building.
Moba phone game I forgot it's name
I honestly liked crystal damage builds and the least toxic game I ever played, matches were quick, the game drained my battery but still fun.
Zeepkist
I suck at the game, online races I am facing off against players MUCH faster than me. However; it was fun driving the different tracks and fun building tracks for others to play/ suffer on.
Track mania
I suck at this game, online races with my low level of skill, players who are much better than me but again still had fun building tracks for players to play oddly enough. I could go and build tracks.
Minecraft
I am a noob in knowledge of the later on games but sure enough still had fun in multiplayer games with building, exploring and wild encounters. The minecraft hunger games mode was fun.
Overwatch
Love hate relationship with this one as the meta shifted and really a lot of the heroes I played not being touched/ hurt while rank was the only place I was really toxic I would say if I'm honest and my rank declined season after season but still fun.
Hearthstone
I loved the game until infinite loops in the game made the game less fun and cards that weren't problems, only trouble makers for legendary cards with legendary cards remaining busted as my favorite decks to play got nerfed with Rogue, however game was still fun until the infinite loops came out/ snowballing affect decks.
I had fun deck building and my feelings on this game are mixed.
Worms
Chaotic fun matches that are highly addictive even if playing comp wise because the game had explosive fun energy to it.
I had a lot of different ways to play the game and the RNG of loot felt meaningful to what I could do in the given moment.
100% Orange Juice
I am still salty about; I didn't have much cards to work with for building decks/ strats, the ideas I could come up with were limiting while the game isn't bad I will say the game not being fun was mostly down to me for the multiplayer aspect.
Uno
It's Uno; what is there to say? It's fun for what it is, granted haven't had a chance to play the computer one yet but still.
Dota 2
No one pressured me, I had fun even though I sucked at the game, etc. I loved playing Broodmother, I loved trying off meta, bizarre ideas for builds and I do remember being salty but not to the same levels that R6 and Overwatch 2 caused me to experience.
