Gamification theory Study using myself
It is of my belief that if you gamify your life you can make your life better. If video games are a pleasurable/ enjoyable activity then it stands to reason that gamification of your life will bring about happiness and or more prosperity.
Something stuck out to me after my brother mentioned budgeting and why most people fail; what inherent end goal are they chasing? This question I'd related to game design in my head during our conversation and thinking about it still; if I gamify things I don't care for or like or even things I need to do.
Then it stands to reason I'd be far more fulfilled and happy with the result. Even with measuring and seeing the progress of how much extra weight I can push around brings me joy with tracking the results.
With me being the only test subject however; I'm unable to find much success with this experiment only from a self but regardless gives some form of insight.
Some activities I already do or have done in the past so it stands to reason I'd continue some but others I have randomly drop or forgotten why I'd drop them.
